Pop song

Never been here before
But always wanted this for (sure)
I’ve spent a lifetime dreaming
And I know I want to stay
with you I’m feeling something
That makes me want to say

I’m prepared for this
I never shoot to miss
I feel like no matter what is coming
If I’m gonna make it through the day
Then there’s no use in running
Together there is nothing we can’t face

If I risk it all
you will break my fall

How do I live alone? How do I breathe?
When you’re here I’m thriving
I want to feel your love, run through my blood
Tell me is this where I give it all up?
For you I have to risk it all
‘Cause the future is with you by my side

and If I risk it all
you will break my fall

When writing my pop song I was thinking about the upsides to having a great partner. The way I constructed my song is by converting Sam Smith’s Writing on the Wall into a romantic song because originally it is a song without a happy tone or much optimism. This way it would be easier to me because writing a rhyme scheme on my own is a very intimidating. Personally I am not very fond of my own song though it came out better than I expected. I may write another song as a fun way to pass time as it will push me to be creative. If I were to write another song it would be with the intention of capturing a vibe.
